Where can I get the Stellar yarn in US? What could I substitute if It has been discontinued?

I like this pattern, seems easy enough to make and even adjust the size if desired. However, I'm not a sewer so when the pattern says to sew the two panels together and then to sew on the collar, I'm uncertain of how to do this. Is there a specific stitch for this? I can google a stitch, as long as I know which one to use. Otherwise, I'm a bit lost here.

Now this is the pattern that I have been waiting for. This simply savvy ruana can be paired with blue jeans or dressed up with slacks or a dress. The classic grey color is appropriate for the fall and winter months that will be here before you know it.

I really appreciate a pattern like this. It is a classy piece. I typically do not get excited about new patterns. However, this one really gets my juices going. I think it is the addition of the collar that makes this my kind of clothing. Either making a quick trip to the grocery or to church, I can pull this one off.

I have to make this beautiful ruana for my beautiful and stylish sister. I don't look forward to working with the fur but I'm sure that I will survive.

This Juana is gorgeous. I love how soft and plush this yarn from red heart feels and the length is amazing. It makes it easier to style with thigh high boots and leggings that will keep you warm and stylish plus it's super easy to make. I can't wait to buy some jumbo yarn I have never had some before.

I have seen a couple of these patterns before. I think I want to take the time to actually make one. I am a little on the quirky side and I am considering using two contrasting/coordinating colors to complete the projects just to make it interesting. Plan to tie it together with the added collar on this design. Any ideas?

If only I had seen this pattern before I made purchase of yarn for another project. I took advantage of a great sale but I do not think the yarn I purchased will work for this. No matter, I have to have this so I will be placing another order. I love the collar on this Ruana.

I really love oversized ruanas and ponchos and this Simply Savvy Crochet Ruana Pattern is almost perfect according to my specifications. I like the finishing touch on the collar for that added flair. The length of the sleeves are just right however, I want the length to reach up to just a little above the knee. But this one is okay, it will look great when matched with a pair of black of leggings.

I can not find the wool for Figure Flattering top where do l. Buy this wool in Thunder Bay CanadaOnt

After reading the difficulty of crocheting with fur-like yarn, I will knit a collar to the dimensions shown

How luscious this ruana would be wrapped around the body on a chilly evening outdoors. It is the perfect cover for those in between weeks before the real cold of winter sets in. The pattern is featured directly above which is a plus. And it is just single crochets and spaces! It will probably work up pretty quickly. And the addition of the fur collar makes it look very luxe!

Is this pattern available to knit? I really love it but do not crochet. Thanks, Pat.

Oh how cute is this Simply Savvy Crochet Ruana Pattern. I so want to make one but I don't care to crochet with the Boutique Fur. I find that it is a "feel as you go" crochet yarn. It isn't easy to see your stitches, so you have to feel where the space is to crochet. With that being said, I will give this a try for I think this would be great to have in the cool fall nights. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

I was unable to get Red Heart brand fur, but bought Lion Brand Fun Fur, which I have since found it is also called Eyelash Fur. I bought it in black, unfortunately. I find it nearly in impossible to crochet, as I can barely see the "shaft"of the yard! Is there a trick to this, maybe a tutorial, for making the collar with this yarn? Do I still use the size 9.00 crochet hook? Is there much difference between the Lyon Brand fur and Red Heart fur?? I really want to finish this, but spent about an hour fighting with the collar piece, just to get it started!

I don't understand the collar directions. 13 rows wouldn't be long enough for the collar length and you didn't say how to make the ruffle.

@climbthewell 89999 85 if you click on the chart it will show you where to attach the collar. It is actually a bit shorter than the project as a whole (more like a shirt collar). Hope that helps! -Kaylee, Editor of

What is the equivalent uk yarn please

Hi Margaret, this appears to be sold in several places in the uk. I plan to make this from whatever appears to be the equivalent in my stash. A thick, puffy type yarn. Debbie...(0

@MARGARETMCGOWEN 76 53198 this uses jumbo yarn (size 7). Anything labeled chunky or bulky should work. Hope that helps! -Kaylee, Editor of
